About Me
Technology Leader · Board Advisor· Consultant · Author
I'm Saheed Busari, a technology leader with over fifteen years of experience designing, building and operating large-scale enterprise software, SaaS platforms, cloud systems, building internal developer platforms, and leading technology organisations through complex transformations.
My journey in technology started with a genuine fascination with how systems work — not just the code, but the infrastructure underneath it, the people who build and operate it, and the organisations that depend on it. That fascination has never left me.
Over the years, my experience has spanned software engineering; cloud and software architecture across major cloud prvoiders i.e. AWS, Azure, and GCP; platform engineering; security engineering; DevOps and Site reliability engineering; and more recently, the engineering challenges of deploying AI systems at enterprise scale.
What I find most compelling about technology is the intersection of the technical and the human. The best engineering outcomes I've witnessed — and been part of — weren't just the result of good architecture. They came from teams that communicated well, had clarity of purpose, and were given the space to do their best work.
That conviction shapes how I lead technology teams and how I think about the profession. Good engineering is inseparable from good team culture, clear communication, and genuine care for the people who use what we build.
Beyond Work
I believe that the best technologists are whole people, and that breadth of perspective is an asset in a field that can sometimes mistake depth for completeness.
I care about making the technology profession more inclusive and accessible. I mentor engineers and aspiring tech leaders at various stages of their careers, and I try to pay forward the opportunities and guidance I received from people who invested in me early in my career.
Outside of work, I love watching comedy program. Its how I destress from work.
What I Believe
The values and principles that guide my work as a technologist and leader.
Clarity over complexity
The best engineering solution is the simplest one that meets the requirements. Complexity is a cost, not a feature.
People first
Technology is built by people for people and operated by people. The best systems I have been part of were built by teams that cared about each other and focus on the goal.
Continuous learning
Technology moves fast. Staying effective and relevant requires constant curiosity, humility, and a commitment to learning.
Systems thinking
Problems rarely exist in isolation. Understanding the system — including its human dimensions — leads to better solutions.
Knowledge sharing
Writing, speaking, and mentoring are how I give back to a profession that has given me so much.
Built to last
I care about building things that work reliably, securely, and sustainably — not just things that work in the demo.
